Yanbu Airport: a coastal gateway with Madinah close by
Prince Abdul Mohsin Bin Abdulaziz Airport in Yanbu (YNB) sees a mix of travellers: staff heading to the industrial city, families visiting relatives, visitors drawn to the Red Sea shoreline, and pilgrims who fly into Yanbu and continue to Madinah by road. Each group needs something slightly different, but everyone wants the same thing on landing: to get out of the terminal and to their destination without fuss.
Mishwar Al Haramain arranges a private car with a driver who waits for you in the arrivals hall with your name on a sign. We follow your flight from departure, so a late arrival costs you nothing, and you get 60 minutes of free waiting time after landing to collect your luggage calmly.
Where people usually go from YNB
Around Yanbu
Hotels in Yanbu Al Bahr, residential districts, the corniche, and Yanbu Industrial City run by the Royal Commission. Send the hotel name or a map pin and the driver will take you to the door.
On to Madinah
Plenty of visitors land in Yanbu and then drive to Madinah. If that is your plan, give us your Madinah hotel name when booking and let us know whether you want a prayer or rest pause on the way. For more about our service in the city, see taxi in Madinah.
Down to Jeddah or Makkah
A longer trip south along the coast to Jeddah can be arranged, as can a continuation to Makkah for travellers performing Umrah. In that case, remember that anyone travelling with the intention of Umrah enters ihram at the miqat on their route; if you want to pause at a particular miqat, tell the driver in advance.
How the fare is set
Yanbu Airport routes are quoted individually, so we confirm the fare on WhatsApp based on your destination and vehicle category. The price covers the whole car, not each passenger, and you pay on arrival with no prepayment for normal bookings.
| Trip | Suggested vehicle | Fare |

Flying in for work
If you are visiting Yanbu Industrial City for a meeting or a short assignment, we can meet you at the airport and bring you back the same day or a few days later. Send your rough schedule and we will book both legs together, so there is nothing to arrange twice. The driver can collect you from your company gate or hotel at the agreed time. If colleagues are arriving on different flights, share all the flight numbers and we will coordinate the pickups.
Choosing a vehicle for your trip
- A short ride within Yanbu: a sedan is enough in most cases.
- A family with children and plenty of bags: the family category gives you luggage space and more room to relax.
- A long drive to Madinah or Jeddah: many travellers prefer family or VIP, because several hours in a seat call for more space.
Compare categories on the fleet page.
Booking in four steps
- Message us on WhatsApp +966582918075 with your flight number and arrival date.
- Tell us how many passengers and bags, and whether children or elderly travellers are with you.
- Give the destination: a Yanbu hotel or another city.
- Receive the fare confirmation, then the driver details before you land.
For the ride back to the airport, send your departure time and address and we will suggest a pickup time. The booking page works too.
