A Jeddah taxi you book ahead, at a price you already know
Jeddah stretches for a long way along the Red Sea, and getting around it depends heavily on the hour and the district. A run from Al Hamra to Al Balad can take fifteen minutes early in the morning and the best part of an hour on a Thursday evening. Our Jeddah taxi service is built for people who would rather settle the price in advance and have a driver turn up on time than flag down a cab or compare app quotes on the pavement.
We drive Jeddah residents to family visits and hospital appointments, guests staying in Corniche hotels, and pilgrims passing through the city before or after Makkah. The car is yours alone, and the fare covers the whole car, not each passenger.
How the city breaks down for a driver
Every address in Jeddah is fair game as a pickup or drop-off. Still, it helps to know roughly what you are asking for:
- North Jeddah - North and South Obhur and the newer residential districts towards the north. Trips into the centre from here are longer, so leave some margin.
- Central Jeddah - Al Hamra, Al Rawdah, Al Zahra, Al Salamah, Al Andalus and Tahlia Street. Most hotels, restaurants and malls sit here, and so does most of the evening traffic.
- Historic Jeddah and the south - Al Balad, Souq Al Alawi and Bab Makkah, then Jeddah Islamic Port and the southern districts. Al Balad's lanes are narrow, so the driver drops you at the closest sensible point and agrees a spot to collect you.
Fixed fares for common Jeddah trips
These prices are set before you travel. No meter, no night surcharge, no fee for normal luggage:
| Trip | Sedan | Family car | VIP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Between Jeddah districts | 100 SAR | 200 SAR | 300 SAR |
| To a Jeddah hotel | 100 SAR | 200 SAR | 300 SAR |
| To the Haramain train station in Jeddah | 100 SAR | 200 SAR | 300 SAR |
| From Jeddah to King Abdulaziz Airport | 150 SAR | 250 SAR | 500 SAR |
A sedan seats up to four, the family SUV or van takes up to seven with far more boot space, and VIP suits a business trip or a special occasion. For a side-by-side view of every city we cover, see the taxi fare guide.
Trips we are asked for again and again
Getting to the airport for a flight
If you are flying out of King Abdulaziz Airport, plan to leave your home or hotel at least three hours before an international departure, and earlier in peak season. Tell us your terminal and the driver will stop right outside it. If instead you are landing in Jeddah and need someone waiting in arrivals, that is a separate service with its own page: Jeddah Airport taxi.
Catching the Haramain train
Plenty of travellers take the high-speed train from Jeddah to Madinah. We get you to the station with time to spare, and we can meet you on the way back if you send the arrival time.
Family errands and occasions
Visiting relatives, a wedding, a long day at the malls: in cases like these customers often book the family car so everyone rides together, and fix the return time with the driver in advance.
When Jeddah is only where the trip starts
A good share of the people who book us in Jeddah are really heading somewhere else. From any address in the city we drive direct to:
- Makkah - about 80 km, from 200 SAR in a sedan. Full details on our page for a taxi from Jeddah to Makkah.
- Madinah - roughly 420 km; 500 SAR sedan, 700 SAR family car, 1000 SAR VIP. See the Jeddah to Madinah route.
- Taif and back - a day trip up to Al Hada and Al Shafa for 500 SAR in a sedan, with the driver bringing you home in the evening.
What to send us when you book
A short WhatsApp message is enough, and we can confirm straight away if it includes:
- Your pickup address - a shared map location is best.
- Your destination, with the hotel or business name spelled as it appears.
- Date and time, and whether you need a return.
- How many passengers and bags, and whether there are small children.
We reply with the final fare and the driver's details. Nothing is paid up front; you pay at the end of the trip.
Questions from Jeddah customers
Can I keep the car by the hour inside Jeddah?
Yes. If you have several stops in one day we can arrange a car that stays with you for a set number of hours. Send us your plan and we quote on WhatsApp.
Where will the driver drop me in Al Balad?
Al Balad's lanes are narrow, so the driver drops you at the closest sensible point and agrees a clear spot to collect you from.
Can you get me to the Haramain train station in Jeddah?
Yes: 100 SAR by sedan, 200 SAR by family car and 300 SAR for VIP. We can also meet you on the way back if you send the train arrival time.
