One ride from Jeddah to your hotel door in Madinah
The road from Jeddah to Madinah is a long highway that runs north near the coast and then turns inland, about 420 km in total. Many visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque land at Jeddah Airport and want to go straight to Madinah, while others live in or are staying in Jeddah and plan a visit of a few days. Either way, a private car with Mishwar Al Haramain means you leave when it suits you, with all your luggage, stop when you need to, and get out at your hotel rather than at a station.

Coming from Jeddah Airport

How long does it take?
Non-stop driving takes roughly four and a half hours, more with breaks and traffic leaving Jeddah. Most travellers stop once or twice for prayer and coffee, and the driver stops whenever you ask. If you want to arrive before a particular prayer at the Prophet’s Mosque, tell us and we will suggest the right departure time.
Do I need ihram for this trip?
No. Travelling from Jeddah to Madinah takes you away from Makkah, so there is no miqat you are required to enter ihram at. If you will later travel from Madinah to Makkah for Umrah, the miqat for that direction is Dhul Hulayfah (Abyar Ali), and the driver can stop there on the way. Yes. From any Jeddah district or hotel, or from Jeddah Airport, to Madinah: SAR 500 by sedan, SAR 700 by family SUV/van and SAR 1000 for VIP, per car.
If I start at the airport, do we go through central Jeddah?
No. After the meet in arrivals you head straight onto the Madinah road without going through central Jeddah.
