In Jeddah you will never be short of people offering a ride: at the airport, outside hotels, through apps. But the difference between a smooth trip and a frustrating one is usually decided before you get in the car, by a few simple questions you forgot to ask. Here are those questions, the way an experienced traveller would put them, followed by straight answers about how Mishwar Al Haramain works.
Question 1: Is the price fixed, and is it per car or per person?
This matters most. Some offers look cheap because they are per person, then double once the family gets in. Others change with the time of day or traffic. Our fares are fixed per car, agreed before the ride, and do not change with the number of passengers within the vehicle's capacity.
Question 2: What happens if my flight is late?
Ask about flight tracking and free waiting time. We follow your flight number, the driver waits in arrivals with a name sign, and you get 60 minutes of free waiting after landing. More on our Jeddah airport taxi page.
Question 3: When do I pay?
Be wary of full prepayment demands for an ordinary ride. Our normal bookings need no prepayment; you pay on arrival.
Question 4: Will the car fit our group and our bags?
Do not just give a headcount; mention the number of large suitcases too. We offer three classes:
- Sedan: for one to three people with moderate luggage.
- Family SUV or van: for families, small groups and lots of bags.
- VIP: for a higher level of comfort on pickups or long drives.

Question 5: Do you work at all hours?
Plenty of Jeddah flights arrive at dawn or after midnight. We run 24/7, and booking and coordination happen on WhatsApp.
Common mistakes travellers make
- Booking without a flight number: the driver has to work from an estimated time, and confusion follows if the plane lands early or late.
- Choosing the smallest car to save money: only to find at the airport that the suitcases will not fit.
- Agreeing a price verbally: always ask for written confirmation. We confirm every fare on WhatsApp.
- Leaving too little time before a flight: Jeddah traffic peaks at rush hour, and the road from Makkah to the airport can be slow in busy seasons.
- Vague addresses: Jeddah's districts are large, so send a map pin or the full hotel name.
