Why explain booking step by step?
Many pilgrims book a car over WhatsApp for the first time and are not sure what information is needed or what happens after they hit send. This article explains the process as it actually runs, so you know what to expect at each stage, whether your ride is a short hop to the Haram or a trip to another city.
Step 1: Send the details in one message
The more complete your first message, the faster we can confirm. Include:
- Pickup point: hotel name or a map pin.
- Destination: the Haram, Masjid Aisha (Taneem), the airport or another city.
- Date and time, plus your flight number if the ride is to or from the airport.
- Number of passengers, number of large suitcases, and whether you need a child seat or space for a wheelchair.
Send it to +966582918075. We work 24/7.
Step 2: We suggest a vehicle and confirm the fare
Based on passengers and luggage, we recommend the right category: sedan, family SUV/van or VIP. The fare is fixed per car, not per passenger, and we send it to you before you confirm. There is no prepayment for normal bookings; you pay on arrival.
Step 3: You receive the trip details
Once confirmed, you get a message with the pickup time and contact details. On the day, the driver gets in touch before arriving.
Step 4: The meeting point
This is where Makkah differs from any other city. Traffic around the Sacred Mosque is managed, and some nearby streets close at prayer times and in busy seasons, so the driver cannot always stop right at your hotel door. When that happens, he agrees the nearest permitted point with you and shares his location. That is why we suggest:
- Do not set a pickup time right after a major congregational prayer ends.
- Allow an extra ten minutes to walk to the meeting point if your hotel is in the heart of the central area.
- If you are travelling with an elderly relative or lots of luggage, tell us in advance so we can choose the closest possible point.
Step 5: The ride and arrival
The driver helps with your bags and, on longer journeys, stops whenever you ask for prayer or a break. On arrival you pay the agreed fare, with no extra charge for traffic.
Common mistakes we see
- Incomplete hotel name: Makkah has many hotels with similar names, so send the full name plus a map pin.
- More luggage than mentioned: if you say "two bags" and five appear, the car may not fit them. Give us the real number from the start.
- Tight airport timing: Makkah to Jeddah Airport takes roughly an hour and a quarter in normal conditions and longer in peak seasons. Leave a generous margin before your flight.
- Missing the driver's call: keep your phone close in the minutes before pickup, especially if you are inside the Haram where it is easy to miss a call.
- Booking at prayer time: asking for a pickup at the exact moment a prayer ends near the Haram almost guarantees a delay.
