Tabuk is spread out, and its trips run longer than you expect
Tabuk is the capital of the Kingdom’s north-west and the starting point for the coast, the mountains and the historic sites of the region. Inside the city, the newer districts sit well apart from the old centre, and outside it the roads run for hundreds of kilometres through desert and hills. That is why many visitors, families and business travellers prefer a car with a driver who knows the area rather than a passing cab. Three kinds of trips in Tabuk
1. Arrivals and departures at the airport
Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Airport is close to the city, and the ride to most hotels and districts is short. On arrival your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign, we track your flight, and you get 60 minutes of free waiting after landing. Pickup details are on the Tabuk Airport page.
2. Rides inside the city
Hotel to meetings, a visit to Tabuk Castle and the old centre, or a shopping run. Book a single ride or keep the driver with you for a few hours.
3. Trips beyond Tabuk
Many visitors head to places well outside the city, such as Al Bad’ and the Maghaer Shuaib area, the northern Red Sea coast, or other towns in the region. These are long drives, so we suggest leaving early and fixing the return time at the start if it is a same-day round trip.
How the fare is set
Tabuk trips are not in our published fare table, so we send you the fare for each trip on WhatsApp before you book. It is calculated for the whole car rather than per passenger, it is fixed before the trip, and you pay on arrival with no prepayment for normal bookings. Tips for visitors to the north
- Winter in Tabuk is far colder than in the Hijaz cities, and nights can be very cold, so pack warm clothes for trips out of town.
- Some sites outside the city are hours away by car. Plan them as a full day.
