From the Plane to Madinah in One Ride
Many pilgrims and visitors like to start their trip in Madinah and finish in Makkah, but their international flight lands at King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah. That leaves a long road of about 420 km after landing, and after hours in the air nobody wants to change stations or wait for connections. So Mishwar Al Haramain arranges a private car that is waiting as you come out of customs and takes you to your Madinah hotel door.

Step by Step From Landing
- Tracking: we follow your flight, so a delay or early landing is no problem.
- Meeting: the driver stands in arrivals with a sign bearing your name, and you have 60 minutes of free waiting after touchdown.
- Setting off: the driver loads your luggage and heads north out of Jeddah onto the Madinah road.
- The road: about four to four and a half hours, with stops whenever you ask.
- Arrival: drop-off at your hotel, or the nearest permitted point in the central area.
Do I Need Ihram for This Ride?
If Madinah is your first stop and you have not yet made the intention for Umrah, you do not need to be in ihram on this road. When you later travel from Madinah to Makkah, you enter ihram at the Dhul Hulayfah miqat (Abyar Ali). For that leg we run a Madinah to Makkah taxi that stops at the miqat.
Arriving at Night
Plenty of flights land in Jeddah after midnight. You can set off straight away and reach Madinah around dawn, or spend the night in Jeddah and leave in the morning. In the second case we take you to your Jeddah hotel first and come back for you at the time you choose. Just tell us when you book.
Picking the Right Car
- Sedan: two or three people with moderate luggage.
- Family: families and large international suitcases. The most common choice on this route.
- VIP: extra comfort for a multi-hour ride after a long flight.

In the arrivals hall after you leave customs. The driver sends you his number on WhatsApp before you land.
How much is the ride from Jeddah Airport to Madinah?
The fare is for the whole car: SAR 500 by sedan, SAR 700 by family SUV/van and SAR 1000 for VIP, paid on arrival in Madinah.
My flight lands in Jeddah after midnight. Should I set off for Madinah straight away?
Either works. You can leave at once and reach Madinah around dawn, or spend the night in Jeddah: we take you to your Jeddah hotel first and come back for you at the time you choose.
