From the capital to the north: a trip worth planning
Riyadh and Hail are more than 600 km apart, one of the long road journeys people make to visit family, for work or to see the sights of the north. The road runs through the Qassim region and on to Hail, taking several hours. Drive it yourself and you arrive worn out. Leave it to a driver and you arrive rested, or with some work done on the way.
Mishwar Al Haramain sends a car with a driver to your Riyadh home or hotel and drops you at your address in Hail. The fare is for the whole car. This route is not on our published fare list, so we confirm a fixed price on WhatsApp before you book, and you pay on arrival.
How we suggest planning the trip
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Leaving Riyadh | The driver arrives on time and loads your bags. It helps to leave outside the city’s morning or evening rush. |
| Road to Qassim | A long highway with stations for prayer, fuel and coffee. |
| Midway break | Many travellers stop in Qassim for a meal, and you can ask to do the same. |
| Qassim to Hail | The final stretch, then straight to your address. |
Preparing for a drive this long
- Choose the car by luggage, not just headcount: a family car is more comfortable over long distances. See the fleet page.
- Agree stops in advance: how often you want to stop and whether you want a meal on the way.
- Book early in holiday periods: long trips take some arranging.
- Flying into Riyadh first? The driver can meet you in the King Khalid Airport arrivals hall with a name sign and 60 minutes of free waiting, then head straight for Hail.
Changes to the plan
Some passengers want a few hours in Buraidah or Unaizah before carrying on, others need to drop a companion in Qassim and continue. Both are possible if you mention them when booking, and they are reflected in the fare. For rides within Qassim, see our Qassim taxi page.
Once in Hail
After arriving you can carry on with us for rides around Hail or out to sights such as Jubbah and A’arif Fort. Details are on our Hail taxi page. For errands in the capital before you leave, our Riyadh taxi service is available.
