When the road is part of the trip
Many visitors to AlUla reach Tabuk first, either by air or as part of a tour of the north, and then continue overland. The road between the two is about 300 km, crossing wide desert and sandstone formations that grow more dramatic the closer you get to AlUla. In a private car the distance stops being just a transfer and becomes an enjoyable part of your trip, with stops wherever you like.
Mishwar Al Haramain arranges a private car with a driver from your hotel, home or Tabuk airport to the resort or hotel you have booked in AlUla, at a fixed price for the whole car.
Where we start from
- Tabuk airport: the driver waits in arrivals with your name on a sign and tracks your flight, with 60 minutes of free waiting after landing.
- Tabuk hotels: pickup at the hotel door at the time you choose.
- Homes: for Tabuk residents visiting AlUla for a weekend or in the winter season.
Tips for the road
- Travel by day: to enjoy the scenery and reach your resort before dark falls on the outskirts of AlUla.
- Bring water: some stretches are far from service stations.
- Photo stops: tell the driver if you would like to pull over for a view, wherever it's safe to do so.
- Send the resort location: some resorts sit in valleys well away from the main road.
- Winter: is AlUla's busy season, so book early.
