From the Aja and Salma Mountains to the Heart of Najd
Hail to Riyadh is one of the longest road trips we arrange in the north: the distance is over 600 km, and the drive usually takes six to seven hours, a little more with stops. Many people choose a private car for it because the trip starts at their front door and ends right at their appointment or hotel, and a family can bring as much luggage as it needs without baggage limits.
Who Usually Books This Trip?
- Families travelling to see relatives in Riyadh, with children and plenty of bags.
- People with appointments at government offices or hospitals in the capital.
- Travellers heading to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh for an international flight.
The Route
The driver heads south from Hail towards the Qassim region, passing near Buraidah and Unaizah, then continues on the highway to Riyadh's northern entrances. The road is wide and well surfaced, with service stations along it. Qassim is roughly the halfway point, so many travellers stop there for lunch and prayer.
How a Typical Trip Breaks Down
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Leaving Hail | The driver arrives at your address and loads the luggage |
| Halfway | Optional stop for prayer or food in Qassim |
| Entering Riyadh | Evening rush hour can slow the last stretch |
| Arrival | Drop-off at your address or the airport |

The fare is fixed for the whole car, not per passenger. This route is not on our published fare table, so we confirm the price on WhatsApp before you book. It depends on the car type: sedan, family SUV/van, or VIP. You pay on arrival, and normal bookings need no deposit. Compare categories on our fleet page.
Tips for a Drive This Long

- Important appointments: leave a margin of at least an hour.
- Catching a flight: add the full road time, then three hours before departure.
- Children: tell us their ages so we can suggest the right car and plan stops.
