Economy Car: The Lowest Fare for a Private Ride with Driver
The economy class is the entry point of the Mishwar Al Haramain fleet. It is a compact, air-conditioned sedan driven by our own driver, booked privately for you and nobody else. You do not share the car with strangers, you do not haggle at the kerb, and you do not watch a meter run. You agree a fixed fare for the whole car on WhatsApp, and you pay when you arrive.
If your priority is to keep transport costs low so more of your budget goes to your stay, your Umrah or your shopping, this is the class to start with. It handles the same routes as every other car we run, around the clock, but it is sized and priced for small parties who travel light.
Is Economy the Right Fit? A Quick Self-Check
Run through these questions before you book. If you answer "yes" to most of them, economy will serve you well:
- Are you one, two or three adults? The car is most comfortable at this size. A fourth passenger fits, but the back seat gets tight on longer drives.
- Is your luggage modest? Think two medium or large suitcases plus cabin bags. Plenty of pilgrims travel exactly like this.
- Is the trip short or medium in length? Hotel to Haram, hotel to the train station, a miqat run to Masjid Aisha, or the airport to your hotel are ideal.
- Is price more important than extra legroom or a larger cabin? If yes, there is no reason to pay more.
If you answered "no" to the luggage question, or you are travelling with children and a stroller, skip ahead to our family SUV or van classes on the fleet overview instead of squeezing everyone into a small car.
Where Economy Makes the Most Sense
Short hops inside Makkah
Many guests stay in Aziziyah, Al Awali or other districts away from the central area and need a reliable car to the Haram at specific prayer times. Economy is the natural choice for these repeated short runs. The same applies to trips from your hotel to Makkah's Haramain train station, or out to Masjid Aisha in Al Taneem to enter ihram for an additional Umrah.
Arriving at Jeddah airport as a couple
For two travellers with standard luggage, an economy sedan is the most economical way to get from King Abdulaziz International Airport straight to the hotel door. Our driver waits in the arrivals hall with a sign bearing your name, we track the flight, and the first 60 minutes after landing are free waiting time.
Long-distance on a budget
Economy also runs the long highway routes, such as Makkah to Madinah (about 450 km, roughly 4.5–5 hours). It is a perfectly good car for this distance when there are only one or two of you. Larger parties usually prefer the extra room of an SUV for a drive that long.

Five Ways to Get the Most Out of an Economy Booking
- Be honest about luggage. Tell us the exact number of large suitcases. If it will not fit, we would rather suggest a bigger car in advance than have you discover the problem at the airport.
- Remember the return leg. Bags tend to grow on the way home, especially with Zamzam water and gifts. Many guests ride economy on arrival and book an SUV for the trip back.
- Book repeated runs together. If you need the car to the Haram every day at the same time, send the full schedule in one message so we can plan the driver around it.
- Share a precise pickup point. In central Makkah, a hotel name alone may not be enough because some roads close at peak times. A WhatsApp location pin saves time.
- Keep your phone reachable. The driver will contact you on the number you used to book, so keep it switched on after landing.
Booking in Practice
Message us on WhatsApp at +966582918075 with your pickup point, destination, date and time, the number of passengers and suitcases, and your flight number if it is an airport pickup. We reply with the fixed fare for the whole car. Once you confirm, the booking is set: there is nothing to pay in advance for a normal booking, and you settle the fare at the end of the ride. You can also start from our booking page.
Questions People Ask About Economy
Is the economy fare per seat?
No. Every fare on our list is for the whole car. Whether one person rides or three, the price stays the same.
Can I take economy from the airport to Makkah?
Yes, and many couples do. If you want details on that specific journey, read our page on the Jeddah Airport to Makkah transfer.
Is it available late at night?
Yes. We operate 24 hours a day, so a pre-dawn landing or a late return from the Haram is no problem as long as it is booked.
What if my flight is delayed?
We follow your flight number and adjust the pickup. The 60 minutes of free waiting begin when the plane actually lands.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. If your plans change, message us and we will tell you the fare for a larger class on the same route before anything is changed.
