Van with Driver for Groups: One Vehicle, One Fare, Everyone Together

Once a party grows beyond what an SUV can hold, the question becomes how to move everyone without chaos. Booking three or four separate cars means several drivers, several phone calls, and someone always arriving last. The van class at Mishwar Al Haramain solves that with a single high-capacity vehicle, typically a Toyota Hiace, that carries the whole group and its luggage together under one fixed fare for the vehicle.

Vans are booked by Umrah groups, extended families, friends travelling together, and companies moving staff or guests between the airport, hotels and work sites.

Three Groups That Typically Choose a Van

The Umrah group with a leader

A group organiser lands in Jeddah with eight or more pilgrims. Everyone needs to reach the same hotel in Makkah, often in ihram and tired after the flight. One van, one name sign in the arrivals hall, and one departure means the group starts its Umrah together. The driver waits for the whole party, with 60 minutes of free waiting after the flight lands. Details of the airport side are on our Jeddah Airport taxi page.

The extended family

Grandparents, parents, cousins and children travelling together often exceed the seat count of an SUV. A van keeps the family in one place, which matters on the long drive between Makkah and Madinah (about 450 km, roughly 4.5–5 hours) and on ziyarat days.

Company staff and event guests

Businesses use vans to move teams between the airport, hotels and a venue in Jeddah or Makkah. A single vehicle on a fixed schedule is easier to manage than a list of individual rides.

If your group plans to separate during the trip, for example some to the Haram and others to the hotel, ask us about combining a van with a sedan instead.

Checklist for the Group Organiser

  1. Final headcount. Count every person including infants. The van's seat limit, shown at the top of this page, cannot be exceeded.
  2. Total luggage. Suitcases per person multiplied by the group size adds up fast. Tell us the total number of large cases and any bulky items such as wheelchairs.
  3. One contact number. Nominate one person the driver will call. It avoids confusion at the airport.
  4. Meeting point. At the airport, agree with the group to wait together after baggage reclaim before walking out to meet the driver.
  5. Multiple pickup addresses. If the group is staying in different hotels, send all addresses in the order you want them collected.
  6. Return trip. Book it at the same time. Group departures to the airport need careful timing, and booking early keeps the van reserved.

How Van Fares Work

Vans belong to the family SUV/van tier of our price list. Because group trips vary so much in size, luggage and stops, we confirm the exact van fare for your route on WhatsApp before you book. The fare is for the whole vehicle, so the cost per person drops as the group grows. It is fixed once agreed and paid on arrival, with no prepayment for a normal booking. Published starting fares for each tier are in the fare guide.

Popular Group Routes

  • Jeddah airport to hotels in Makkah, and back for departure.
  • Makkah to Madinah, and Madinah back to Jeddah airport.
  • Ziyarat tours in Makkah and in Madinah, including Wadi Al-Jinn.
  • A day trip from Makkah up the Al Hada road to Taif; see our page on taxi from Makkah to Taif.
